What is myofunctional therapy?

Oral Myofunctional Therapy (OMT) is a specialized treatment focusing on correcting dysfunctional muscle patterns of the face and mouth. It involves neuromuscular re-education exercises designed to improve tongue posture, lip seal, and nasal breathing.

These exercises aim to retrain the oral and facial muscles to function optimally, addressing issues such as tongue thrust, mouth breathing, and improper swallowing patterns.
